Once, while on a trip, my family and I stopped at a gas station. I had my car door open, and this little visitor landed on the door handle. It stayed there in the sun long enough for me to take a picture.

This butterfly is a miracle. My daughter is a miracle, the fact that I am alive today is a miracle. There are so many small and large miracles that I miss in my rush to go to the post office, the grocery store, the school, the whatever-is-going-on-tonights.

When my daughter was two years old, she thought everything was beautiful and exciting. “Mom! Look at that flower/butterfly/leaf/rock!” If only I’d kept that mentailty a little longer in my own life.

Tomorrow I shall remind myself of the miracles I already know are present in my life, and look out for the ones I may not have noticed. Tomorrow I will look for the butterfly on the car door.

“Hearken unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.” Job 37:14 King James Version

About snow05

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have a hard working, hilarious husband and a smart and beautiful daughter. (If I do say so myself). I have a brother and three sisters, and since being married have added five more sisters, and another brother to the list. I like writing and singing in my spare time and an occasional video game. I have two other blogs one for silliness and one for support of woman who've experienced a loss of pregnancy. In this blog, I hope to write the inspiring things I see in life, my faith and love for Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and their gospel, and the love of my family.
